(8/2022) This entry-level Riesling from up-and-coming winemaker Katharina Wechsler blew us away! Sourced from some of her enviable vineyard holdings around the Rheinhessen (including the famed Kirchspiel), this limestone-rich region is producing some of the greatest dry rieslings being made today. Starting off with a lively nose of minerals and stone fruit, this one zings on the palate with racy acidity, chalk, lemon balm, and a persistent finish. We tasted this again on day three and it was absolutely singing. Drink as an aperitif, with Thai food, or even oysters.
