We came away from a large Champagne presentation this autumn with Pehu-Simonet taking top honors for most impressive wines! David Pehu's wines are tasting better than they ever have, and his "Face Nord", a blend of 70% PInot Noir and 30% Chardonnay disgorged 1/22, based on the 2018 vintage, is fleshy and nervy. Richly textured, with a super-strong stream of fine bubbles, the wine gives orchard and red berry fruits, earth and taut minerality. Fun and impressively complex, this bubbly will make many friends!
