(5/13/2024) "Youthful deep ruby in color, the 2020 Barolo is ripe and spicy with aromas of dried cherries, red berries, peppercorn, alpine herbs, and pressed flowers. Medium-bodied, it's elegant and polished, with silky tannins, ripe fruit, clean lift, and a clean finish. Elegant all the way through, it handles its sunny feel with ease. It's approachable for enjoying now or over the coming 8-10 years. Maturity 2024 - 2034."

(1/2024) "Enrico Scavino, along with his daughters Enrica and Elisa, hit it out of the park in both 2019 and 2020. These are some of the most impressive wines I tasted on my fall trip to Piedmont. The 2020 Barolo is seriously beautiful. Pliant and creamy, with terrific depth, the 2020 impresses with its bold, open-knit personality. A burst of dark red cherry/plum fruit, rose petal, mint and spice lend notable character to this decidedly exuberant Barolo from the Scavino family. Drinking window: 2024 - 2032."
