(9/2023) This natty-red-done-right is an organically farmed composition from three parcels of Garnacha Tintorera in Almansa and one of Moravia Agria in Menchuela. Vines range from about 30-45 years old, and each parcel is fermented separately with indigenous yeast and 30-70% whole cluster usage. Fermentation takes place in old barrels and concrete tanks before the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with an extremely low sulfur addition. A very alive wine full of vivid fruit, roasted earth and wild garrigue with a plump attack giving way to a fresh stemmy structure on the close. A wonderful vintage and proof of why it's a favorite around here!
