(12/2022) This wine comes from a small parcel in the Loire Valley, Azay le Rideau. With degrees in biology and enology, Marie Thibault is a one-woman force of nature. Using a mixture of organic and biodynamic farming techniques, Thibault makes the region's indigenous grape, Grolleau, into much more than the blending grape or rose wine it is usually destined to be. A bright medley of blackberries and cherries with a whiff of spice. Juicy acidity, velvety texture and a little tension of tannin on the finish make it just complex enough to think about but easily drinkable.
