From all limestone soils, this spends a full 12 months in 600 liter demi muid barrels, some of which must be new - because you can feel it. A broad, full-bodied wine with layers of depth - it is very far away from green or underripe elements. It still has Sancerre's hallmark minerality under waves of ripe citrus, stone fruit, herbs and spice - with good acidity for the vintage and style. A stunning, singular expression that deserves attention of anyone looking for a regal, high-end French white, including those shopping for Burgundy in this price range.
