(12/2022) Jean-Marc Charpentier's Blanc de Noirs gives exceptional freshness with a complex nose of wet stone, mandarin orange peel, crushed oyster shell, hazelnuts and pastry. The palate is bone dry and pleasingly textural, you can feel the weight and intensity passed on from the red grapes. This 80/20 Pinot Noir/Meunier split spends 60 months on the lees to gain a super lush mouth feel. Scintillating fine bubbles lull you into a false sense of security and then before you know it the bottle's gone!
