(9/2020) Broc Cellars and Selection Massale have joined forces to create this entry in the delicious "La Boutanche" line, with Broc's Zinfandel savvy and La Boutanche's goal for approachable, friendly-priced wines in friendly-sized bottles in perfect harmony. A blend of mostly Zinfandel with a small part of Carignan and Valdiguie, the aromas of blackberry, macerated plum, fresh herbs and sweet tobacco flood out of the glass, followed by more juicy black fruit on the medium-bodied palate. A supple weight and granite-like foundation give it structure, with acidity providing superlative drinkability. Perfect for just about anything off the grill.
